Nike launches all-weather shoe
Zoom Bandon boot will keep you dry
Nike has put the boot in on golf shoes that might not survive wet winter conditions with its latest Nike Zoom Bandon model. Golf is an all-weather sport and Nike understand that its followers won't be put off by muddy conditions underfoot, so says it has designed the new shoe from the ground up with its boot-style. Seam-sealed synthetic uppers, says Nike, form a protective skin around the body of the shoe, giving weatherproof protection and durability in wet conditions. The Bandon shoe also features a zip forming an impermeable layer to keep moisture entering around the ankles. There's added protection around the toe, a seam-sealed double last and a leather pull tab on the heel help step into the shoe. Breathable, synthetic uppers help perspiration escape and a removable Poron sockliner enhances in-shoe comfort. As well as the high-cut boot design, the Bandon shoe includes a cleat and nub configuration to stops grass sticking to the sole for better traction. Available in black/red only (sizes 7-13) with a recommended price of £110. |
