ECCO launches matte black Stealth Biom

ECCO has unveiled two special-edition Caldera leather models featuring a premium matte finish to its BIOM Golf Natural Motion shoe line for 2013.

Inspired by the trend dominating certain sectors of the luxury and custom auto markets, these performance models boast an ultra-sleek, athletic look.

Both the black matte/lime punch and white matte/fanta options are made using a unique full grain material not available on any other golf shoe. It is stain resistant, easy-to-clean and offers a sturdy feel that further enhances foot stability.

“Our R&D teams are always looking to innovate, not only with new technologies but also in terms of materials,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO.

“This is possible because we own our own tanneries and factories, as well as through our position as one of the world’s largest producers of high-grade leathers.”

The game’s first Natural Motion shoe, BIOM Golf showcases a patented, convention-breaking design based on the foot’s natural system for absorbing impact.

Exceptionally lightweight, featuring an ultra-low profile and the game’s most stable hitting platform, it was created by scanning the feet of 2,500 athletes. Additional technical advantages include:

  • Direct Injection – This process, unique to ECCO in the golf industry, provides superior cushioning, stability and comfort via a one-piece shoe that’s built without glue or stitching
  • Hydromax™ – Among the world’s most effective methods for producing highly water resistant shoes, this treatment is guaranteed to last the entire product life.
  • Climate Control – A triple-component ECCO Comfort Fibre System insole guarantees cool, dry  shoe interiors
  • Outsole Design – Enhanced support, comfort and balance via anatomically correct flex grooves that follow the foot’s biomechanics and a wider heel with a unique three-cleat configuration and stability bars between each cleat

RRP: £185
