Biggest driver from TaylorMade
Bagful of goodies revealed
TaylorMade XR03 driver. |
Prolific, as ever, TaylorMade will have a bagful of new equipment to reveal at next week’s prestigious golf trade show in Marbella.
With drivers getting bigger and more user-friendly, TaylorMade is launching yet another monster to rival its ‘hot’ 300 Series 360-model as amateur golfers demand more length and forgiveness off the tee.
The XR-03 is reputed to be TaylorMade’s strongest and thinnest face design, claiming greater ball speed at impact and even more distance.
The 410cc titanium head, says TaylorMade, is its largest ever with the X standing for experimental, and the R distinguishing it as R&A approved.
If you’ve got £500 to spare – yes, that’s the equivalent of a year’s membership to a fashion golf course – the XR-03 can send your golf ball rocketing into the blue yonder.
Double-insert TPi21 putter. |
As well as its Retro line of fairway woods the Raylor and Tour Spoon (£199 steel shaft , £225 graphite), TaylorMade will also be showing off its 200 series drivers and fairway woods (same price) and TPiputter line(£99) replacements for the Nubbins range.
The putters have not one, but two inserts –one in the face, one in the back cavity with a one-millimetre steel membrane sandwiched between the two for added feel, they say.
Expect to find the whole range in a pro shop near you, shortly.
