RUMOUR: LIV Golf in talks to host events in Ireland and Spain
LIV Golf League is planning to head to Trump International Doonbeg and also Valderrama
LIV Golf is planning to tee up tournaments in Ireland at Trump International Doonbeg and also the famous Valderrama in Spain, according to a rumour posted by the unaffiliated LIV Golf Latest Twitter account.
Ireland is not expected to host a LIV Golf event until 2024 at the earliest, but Valderrama could be a little before then.
Donald Trump's Bedminster Golf Club is hosting this week's LIV Golf tournament, despite a number of protests from the 9/11 Families United.
But with Trump heavily involved in LIV Golf, it would not be a surprise to see more of his venues hosting Greg Norman's tournaments in the future.
Valderrama needs no introduction with it having hosted numerous European Tour events down the years, and most famously the 1997 Ryder Cup, which was the first ever Ryder Cup to be held in Continental Europe.
Seve Ballesteros' European side memorably triumphed 14.5-13.5 against Tom Kite's United States team.
