Justin Thomas to LIV Golf? Greg Norman says "he knows and understands it"

Greg Norman has revealed LIV Golf have attempted to snap up PGA Tour star Justin Thomas, following an interview with bunkered. 

Norman, who is the CEO of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League, is adamant Thomas has not spoken out against LIV Golf because he "knows and understands" their model. 

While that is true to some degree, two-time major champion Thomas was particularly vocal in his criticism of LIV Golf players writing a letter that pleaded their case for Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points back in September. 

Thomas also got angry about LIV Golf at his friend's wedding in August! 

LIV Golf may have attracted the likes of Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia in 2022, but the Great White Shark wants more of the same in 2023. 

Norman has clearly tried to lure both Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele, but so far, no good. He's also tried with Thomas, too. 

Norman told bunkered: 

The door is even open for Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, despite them both recently urging Norman to step down from his role as LIV Golf CEO. 

LIV Golf have made it clear that they want to sign at least seven players from the PGA Tour before the start of their new LIV Golf League that commences in February 2023. 

The extended 14-tournament schedule is slowly coming together, with a number of social media accounts all-but confirming the 14 venues. 

Although LIV Golf have made it clear they want to take their tour around the world, nine of the 14 locations are set to be in the United States. 

Other countries involved include Mexico, Spain, Singapore, Australia and England.
