It is a great opportunity for bonding time. Walking out in the sun, striding down the green fairways and taking in the fresh air while playing a spot of golf.
However, if your partner doesn't know anything about golf or they have never played golf, a round with them could be a painful experience and a never-ending struggle.
As you can see in the video below, this man's partner is someone who knows very little about golf and she doesn't know how to hold the club, let alone how to hit the ball.

She tries to take advice from her husband such as when she hits the ball in the water because she often sees her husband do that himself. You can see how infuriating this would be.
If someone is doing an activity that they've not done before, it is very easy to lose interest and become distracted. This happens to the female half of the duo who is distracted by a dog that walks on to the course.
It would appear that the couple is not on the same page at all. The man is on the phone with someone, talking about how his other half is clueless, whereas she is convinced she's cracked the sport.
By the end of the round, the husband has given in and ignored the golf aspect of their day. The pair begin drinking on the golf course and have a good time without their clubs.
Although drinking on the golf course and not playing golf is not advised, it is important to enjoy golf as much as possible and not to take it too seriously.
