Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship
Rory McIlroy makes his first competitive start of 2021 at this week's HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Irishman goes into the tournament as the joint-favourite with the bookies alongside American Justin Thomas.
Englishman Lee Westwood won this event by two shots last year and will be eager to make 2021 another successful year, after the 47-year-old capped off his season in style by picking up the Race to Dubai trophy.
GolfMagic Picks
TOMMY FLEETWOOD - 14/1
Fleetwood is a two-time winner of the Abu Dhabi Championship, winning the event for the first time in 2017, before successfully defending his title a year later.
In 2019, the Englishman missed the tournament, but showed his love for the course when returning last year with a T2 finish, just two shots off of Westwood.
He'll be excited to get the ball rolling in 2021 after recently becoming TaylorMade's latest marquee signing and at a price of 14/1, Fleetwood is our main selection for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
MARTIN KAYMER - 28/1
Similarly to Fleetwood, Kaymer's love for this golf course makes him a tempting bet, especially at odds of 28/1.
Kaymer has won here three times, in 2008, 2010 and 2011 and the former world No.1 and two-time major winner has the experience necessary to compete with the likes of McIlroy, Thomas and Fleetwood.
The German's strong approach play was highlighted on the European Tour last year, ending the year as the leader in Strokes-Gained approach, something that will certainly come in handy at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
LEE WESTWOOD - 33/1
Our final selection for the Abu Dhabi Championship is defending champion Westwood.
We were tempted to go with a couple of other players with slightly more value, but Westwood's performance at this tournament last year was too good to leave him out of our selections and after winning the Race to Dubai at the age of 47, Westwood is showing no signs of slowing down this year and is well worth considering in this field.

The American Express
Following a fantastic Hawaiian stretch, the PGA Tour heads to California for The American Express, where Patrick Cantlay leads the way with the bookmakers, in a field that sees the return of Brooks Koepka, who is now injury-free.
GolfMagic Picks
PATRICK CANTLAY - 12/1
Jon Rahm was the favourite heading into this event, but after withdrawing through injury, it's Cantlay who leads the way.
He might be the favourite, but 12/1 is a fantastic price for the market leader and we think the world No.10 could lift his first major trophy at some point this year.
A T13 finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions was a respectable start to the American's year and although this tournament has a habit of resulting in a surprise from time-to-time, we think the favourite will pull through and claim his fourth PGA Tour title.
ABRAHAM ANCER - 25/1
The Mexican's rise in the world rankings has been an enjoyable journey to watch and Ancer was one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour last year.
The world No.26 is still looking for his first win on the PGA Tour and the American Express is the ideal tournament for Ancer to find that maiden victory.
Last year, Ancer finished 2nd at the American Express after carding a beautiful 9-under par final round and that will boost his confidence heading into this week's event.
ADAM HADWIN - 60/1 (EW)
The Canadian offers great Each Way value at 60/1 and although looking at his recent form will certainly not fill you with confidence, the world No.79 finished T2 here in 2019.
Hadwin ended 2020 in seriously poor form, but this is a player who has shown his class over the past few years and with The American Express his first start of 2021, he'll be well rested and eager to get off to a positive start.
With bet365 paying a quarter of the odds for the top 5 places, an each way bet on Hadwin is worth considering.
