Bastien, who hails from Condette, Pas-De-Calais, France, has had a stellar career since his collegiate days at the University of New Mexico.

During his time with the Lobos, he earned numerous accolades, including All-Mountain West honours and the prestigious All-American Scholar title.

His collegiate career was highlighted by a victory at the Wolf Pack Classic and a runner-up finish at the Lamkin San Diego Classic saw him rise to a high of #16 in the Amateur World Rankings (WAGR).

He also had seven other top 10 finishes in his final year including reaching the last 16 of the US Amateur Championships at Hazletine (T9) and T3 finish in the World Amateur Championships in Abu Dhabi where he was representing France.

Bastien was also selected to represent Continent of Europe in the Arnold Palmer Cup and The St Andrews Trophy.

"I am thrilled to join Team TaylorMade," said Amat.

"Some of the best players in the world put their trust in Team TaylorMade and I do too. I love playing all their products because I know they are the best and have been tried and tested by the best."

In 2023, Bastien made his Major Championship debut at the U.S. Open and also competed in the PGA Tour's Barracuda Championship, where he made the cut after receiving a sponsor’s exemption.

The TaylorMade Tour Team started with golf ball during his equipment testing, with Bastien gravitating towards the TP5 golf ball. He likes to see some spin through the bag as he feels he can control shape and trajectory, and found the TP5 ball offered him exactly the control he was looking for.

Moving into driver the team then needed to work on slightly lowering the spin to optimise it with the TP5 ball. Bastien is quite tall, so they set the Qi35 LS driver a little more upright and then optimised the two split front weights to maintain stability across the face and move CG forward to lower spin offering Bastien his desired spin and ball flight window.

“Bastien had a stellar final year as an amateur, with a whole host of great results at college including two wins at the highest level of amateur golf," said TaylorMade Senior Tour Rep Mark Thistleton.

"He has developed year on year, maturing as a person and as a player and we believe that paired with a great golf swing can take him to the very top of the game.

"His testing session at The Kingdom could not have gone better which left both sides excited for what's to come in professional golf for Bastien."

Ryggs, from the United Staes, turned professional in 2024 after a stellar collegiate career at Arizona State University, has quickly made a name for himself on the international golf stage.

He made his DP World Tour debut at the 2024 BMW Australian PGA Championship, finishing T43, and would go on to win his first DP World Tour title a week later on his second start, at the Australian Open, where he won by three strokes for his first professional title.

Ryggs journey to professional golf began at Arizona State University, where he earned first-team All-Pac-12 honours in 2021 and 2024, and was named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2023.

He played 157 rounds in 52 tournaments with 44 rounds in the 60s during his Arizona State career.

Ryggs finished out his amateur career with four straight Top-10 finishes in College Golf which was typical of his consistent college career where he helped ASU win the PAC-12 conference title in his final year as a senior.

“I’m very excited to be part of Team TaylorMade starting out my professional career," said Johnston.

"I have been with their support since early on in my junior career and have always loved the way their clubs have performed, and the people that I worked with in the company.

"I can’t wait to see what the future has in store."

His string of reliable performances led him to attain a WAGR ranking of #32 before turning professional upon graduating in May 2024. His impressive performance at the DP World Tour Qualifying School in November 2024 earned him a spot on the 2025 DP World Tour.

“With the DP World Tour now offering the 10 cards and a clear pathway to the PGA Tour, it is beginning to attract many exciting future prospects that may otherwise not have chosen Europe as their pathway," said Thistleton.

"Goling through all three stages of Q-school and then winning out the blocks on the DP World Tour in Australia clearly highlights Ryggs early potential and intentions, and the team here in Europe are thrilled we get to work with the next generation of TaylorMade athletes such as Ryggs.

"He is a great guy to be around and the type of player that makes us want to be better at what we do. It’s great he puts his trust in our team and TaylorMade equipment to take his game to the next level."

Ryggs is very respectful and appreciative of the support he has received; he has been supported by the TaylorMade American College Team for a number of years so it’s usually a straightforward fit when it comes to equipment.

Like many other Team TaylorMade Athletes, he games a BRNR Mini Driver at the top end of the bag, but unlike many others opts for a P-7MC ad P-7TW combo set of irons.
