Seed Golf unveils next generation SD-05 ‘The Pro Feel’ ball

Seed Golf has launched the second generation of its SD-05 golf ball, now rebranded as ‘The Pro Feel.’ 

Designed for ultimate control and an ultra-soft feel, this upgraded model delivers enhanced performance across the golf course.

Since its debut in 2017, the SD-05 has been a standout in Seed Golf’s range. 

Now, with an improved design featuring a larger core and thinner cover, it offers a softer feel, increased ball speed, and greater spin control with irons.

The new-generation SD-05 is available in both white and YellowAF, with pricing unchanged at £25 per dozen.

The Technology Behind the SD-05

The SD-05’s Polybutadiene Rubber core has been enlarged and reformulated with three key additives to maximize ball speed while maintaining its renowned soft feel:

• SeedSpeed Core Technology – Zinc Oxide & Zinc Diacrylate enhance resilience, boosting energy transfer and ball speed.
• Polymeric Plasticizers – A refined formula softens the feel without sacrificing power or durability.
• Neodymium Catalysts – Improved polymer cross-linking increases elasticity and energy efficiency.

A redesigned low-compression mantle layer with a softer polymer blend helps balance the core’s power, ensuring a smoother feel off the clubface and increased spin with irons.

By integrating these innovations with a thinner, softer urethane cover, Seed has successfully enhanced ball speed while preserving the premium feel and control that define the SD-05.

Through advanced material science and precision engineering, Seed has created a tour-level golf ball that delivers both explosive speed and a soft touch, catering to golfers of all skill levels.
