Nike lose Tiger Woods and Jason Day but gain rising DP World Tour star
Nike may have lost Tiger Woods but they have snapped up rising DP World Tour star Guido Migliozzi, who is managed by Niall Horan.
Nike may have pulled the plug on their long-term association with Tiger Woods this season, and also with Jason Day, but the sports giant has at least snapped up the services of rising DP World Tour star Guido Migliozzi.
Woods, 48, took to social media on January 8 with an emotional social media post to confirm he has parted ways with Nike following a 27-year partnership.
The 15-time major champion is estimated to have made in the region of $500m during his time with Nike.
Woods played in his final tournament in Nike Golf apparel when he teed up alongside son Charlie Woods at the 2023 PNC Championship just before Christmas.

Former World No.1 and 2015 US PGA champion Day also slammed the door shut on his deal with Nike Golf this season.
Day, 36, chose not to renew his deal with Nike and instead moved over to Malbon where he has already raised plenty of eyebrows with his choice of new apparel - especially his baggy trousers!
Although there has been plenty of rumour on social media that Nike is looking to potentially walk away from the golf apparel and footwear market this season, that is most certainly not the case. From what we gather from our sources here at GolfMagic, the brand is simply reducing their footprint rather than coming out of the golf space.

Nike still sponsors many of the game's best including Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Tommy Fleetwood in 2024.
Fleetwood got his season off to a flyer on Sunday when defeating McIlroy by one stroke at the Dubai Invitational, albeit McIlroy will be kicking himself for three-jabbing from two feet on 14 and finding the water with his tee shot down the 18th.
But back to our original story, and Nike has added another hotshot to its roster of DP World Tour players this season by signing Italy's Migliozzi, 26.
The three-time DP World Tour winner, who is also sponsored by TaylorMade, teed it up in Dubai last week in his new Nike Golf gear.
Migliozzi, who is managed by Niall Horan's Modest! Golf, took to social media to mention the delight about his new Nike deal following a solo 13th at the Dubai Invitational.
"Incredibly proud and excited to announce that I have signed with Nike, a brand I have been passionate about as a kid and I am extremely excited for what the future holds," Migliozzi wrote on Instagram.
Migliozzi, who used to pen a regular blog for us here at GolfMagic, has won three times on the DP World Tour.
He clinched his maiden win at the 2019 Kenya Open before adding the 2019 Belgian Knockout and 2022 Open de France.
Migliozzi was also using the brand new TaylorMade Qi10 Driver in Dubai last week.
