If you’re in the personal launch monitor game, there is no better product In 2024 than the Foresight GC3.

Sure, the GC3's entry price point is significantly above others, but with uncompromising accuracy from a highly versatile product, it’s clear to see why you’re paying for the highest-quality product in the game.

The Foresight GC3 was released roughly ten years after the GC2 and now sits between it and the Tour-popular GCQuad.

The GC3 retails for £6,490 before VAT (for the essential players bundle), which will price it out of some golfers' hands. That being said, for the price you pay, you're receiving the most accurate launch monitor on the market.

The GC3 uses the same photometric tech as the Foresight GCQuad, using three precise cameras for both ball and club data. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, with both settings providing exceptional accuracy.

The product itself weighs just over 2kg, which has made it incredibly easy to transfer to and from golf courses, and even around the world to test various new golf clubs for 2025 (but we can’t tell you about that just yet).

Here are the metrics that the GC3 offers:

BALL DATA:

  • Launch Angle
  • Side Angle
  • Ball Speed
  • Spin Rate
  • Carry
  • Side Spin

CLUB DATA:

  • Clubbed Speed
  • Smash Factor
  • Club Path
  • Angle of Attack

Unlike the GCQuad, the GC3 doesn't offer putting analysis. However where it really excels compared to other portable launch monitors on the market is its accuracy. Not only does the GC3 offer a broader spectrum of data points, but it also factors in temperature and sea level to give the most pin point readings possible.

Upon testing the Foresight GC3, we were particularly impressed with the speed we were able to set up the device. There won’t be any other personal launch monitor where you can take the product out of its packaging, place it down on the range next to your balls and begin your session within 30 seconds.

It really is as simple as that.

There will always be comparisons to the GCQuad, but in this instance, we found that the easy-to-use touchscreen made the GC3 even more straightforward to receive your base readings.

It will always be recommended to link up the unit to a tablet (iPad) to fully take advantage of the software, when hitting outside. By using a tablet, you can fully take advantage of the software offered to compare clubs, check your distances and much more.

Being nearly £10,000 less than its big brother the GCQuad, you would expect the GC3 to fall slightly short in terms of metrics, however, let us be clear, the GC3 is still for serious golfers.

If you really want to dive deep into your personal performance, or compare clubs, the GC3 offers everything you need and more.

The software is quick and easy to use, and it makes analysing your data an absolute doddle. Thanks to the instant responsiveness of the software, you can also full appreciate metrics like ball flight and accuracy thanks to the crystal clear graphics.

As club testers and hardcore golf nuts, we haven't encountered any issues using the GC3 for our testing. The new FSX software has allowed us to seamlessly test products and compare accurate readings inside and outside.

In our six months of using the GC3, there has not been any readings that we’ve looked at and assumed were incorrect. Compare this to other personal launch monitors such as the Garmin R10 and Full Swing KIT which would misread spin and carry numbers considerably, it’s a no brainer why the GC3 is so popular.

You truly get what you pay for with Foresight, and that is unrivalled accuracy for a product that is extremely versatile in everyday settings. Yes, the price is on top scale for personal launch monitors, but for any serious golfer looking to make their basement a golfing haven, or simply to improve their game with a data-led approach, the GC3 should be right at the top of your list.

You will see the GC3 used in all of GolfMagic’s reviews for 2024 and 2025.
