Vice Golf Balls vs Titleist Pro V1x: which golf ball is more durable?
We hit the Vice Pro Plus over 100 times to see just how durable one of our favourite golf balls on the market truly is.
In the final part of our new Golf Ball Review Series with Vice Golf, we pitted the new Vice Pro Plus golf ball up against a more expensive Titleist Pro V1x golf ball to compare them for durability on a golf course. We hit the Vice Pro Plus over 100 times in different circumstances to see how we got on with it. From the red finish to the logo design, we tested it all.
So watch the video below as GolfMagic's Alex Lodge puts the Vice Pro Plus to the test, both indoors and outdoors, using a range of different shots.
Now in terms of wear and tear, after hitting well over 100 shots using one ball, there was some damage to the coloured paintwork of the Vice Pro Plus, but what there were no signs of were cracks, which can be a huge problem when it comes to durability.
If you're interested in just how durable these golf balls are, then make sure you watch the YouTube video in this article, as it's certainly a lot easier for Alex to show you this test, than me tell you about it!
ABOUT THE VICE PRO PLUS GOLF BALL
The 2020 VICE Golf Pro Plus ball is best suited for the higher swing speed golfers among you, and ambitious golfers looking to take their game to the next level.
This 4-piece cast urethane ball stands out to its predecessor when it comes to ball speed, with both driver carry and total distance coming out a solid five yards further, and those mid-irons were also resulting in additional ball speed.
The ball spun nicely with the wedges too, and we noticed an increase of 200 RPM with our 56-degree wedge.
The newly designed, size-increased High Energy Speed Core (HESC) with higher compression rewards high swing speeds with more ball speed and thereby more driver distance.
Its thicker outer mantle features a newly developed, highly versatile ionomer material to combine the advantages of high elasticity for increased carry distance and ball speed as well as soft feel.
Highly recommended if you are in the market for a premium golf ball that is going to save you a bit of dough in these tough, unprecedented times.
