TaylorMade 'Original One' Mini Driver spotted on USGA club list
SNEAK PEEK: New TaylorMade club to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary in 2019.
A brand new TaylorMade club has been spotted on the USGA's conforming list this week by the name of the 'Original One Mini Driver'.
The club, according to reports with TaylorMade reps, has been designed to celebrate TaylorMade's 40th anniversary later this year.
While we are yet to learn of any more details, the new product would mark the first Mini Driver from the brand since its popular AeroBurner Mini in 2016.
The idea behind a 'Mini Driver' is that it's shaped more like a 3-wood but provides that bit more power and distance off the tee, with workability and control thrown in too.
Judging from the snap we've seen on the USGA confirming list, the words 'Pittsburgh Persimmon' can be detected on the sole - the nickname TaylorMade founder Gary Adams gave the first steel-headed driver.
And there also appears a classic 'Speed Pocket', as you'd probably expect for a TaylorMade wood.
We'll have more details on this club in the near future.
