Rory McIlroy makes yet another putter change at Wells Fargo!
And birthday boy McIlroy is off to a hot start with it.
Just when it seemed Rory McIlroy was content on his new putter - he even said so himself - the Northern Irishman has made a tweak again... we make that about eight changes in the last two years now!
It might only be a small tweak this time around, but McIlroy, who celebrates his 29th birthday today, has switched from a slant neck and red face insert to a plumber's neck with no face insert on his TaylorMade TP Soto putter.
Looking at the putter close up, it would appear McIlroy's chosen weapon on the greens doesn't feature any heel or toe weights either.

Following a dismal final-round 76 and a lack of holed putts at the Masters in his last start, McIlroy raced out the blocks on day one at the Wells Fargo Championship on Thursday with a 3-under 68.
McIlroy ranked 21st in strokes-gained putting with an average of 1.853.
It was his driving that was most off form on day one, finding just 28% of the fairways, ranking him 141st in the field.
