Duca Del Cosma steps up golf shoe production in Europe
Italian designed footwear brand set to offer retailers event more stock options...
Italian fashion brand Duca del Cosma is boosting production in Europe of its latest Spring/Summer collection of premium golf shoes so that stockists can offer golfers an even bigger choice of styles and size options at the start of the season.
The brand’s four manufacturing plants in northern Portugal are now set up to produce more of the distinctive hand-made leather shoes that come in both soft spike and spikeless versions. It follows the opening of new warehouse and distribution facilities in Continental Europe, the United States and in the UK near Birmingham.
“Factory closures in the Far East have begun to impact various sectors of the golf industry in other parts of the world, but Duca del Cosma is able to offer our stockists a reliable and consistent supply of top-quality shoes from our European factories,” said CEO Sjef van Gastel, who recently oversaw the company move to a new HQ outside Amsterdam.
“As the start of the golfing season approaches, we can guarantee that every style in our Spring/Summer collection will be delivered within three to five days of an order being placed. It means we can help our stockists maintain their shoe sales throughout the season without fear of any shortfalls, while benefiting from the strong margin we offer on each line.”
The latest Men’s collection includes two soft spike waterproof shoes – the HERITAGE and the MASTERS, both in two colour options – and 15 spikeless models, including the popular BELAIR waterproof shoe and the sneaker-style MONTEROSSO in eight colour choices.
In the Ladies’ collection, the soft spike CYPRESS waterproof shoe comes in four colour options, while the KUBANA waterproof shoe in six colour styles is one of 13 spikeless models, including the sneaker-style FESTIVA in five colours.
All shoes in the collection feature comfortable and breathable ARNEFLEX® insert soles and appropriate outsoles for stability during the swing, plus a second pair of laces to match different outfits.
Last month at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the brand announced the opening of its new subsidiary in the United States – comprising of an office and showroom in North Palm Beach, Florida, plus a warehouse in Atlanta. It now sells in more than 30 countries around the world, including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as golf-playing European countries and the Nordics.
