#4 - MAINTAIN YOUR POSTURE

Players that stand up and out of their posture at the top of the backswing are much more likely to create an "over the top" downswing.

Take an alignment stick and place it on the other side of the golf ball so it points up to your shoulder.

Next, swing up to the top of your backswing.

Try to maintain your spine angle while your front shoulder points down toward the angled alignment stick.

When the shoulders become parallel to the ground at the top of the backswing the next move is generally started with the hands leading the club down steeper and out of sequence.

When the shoulder points down at the ground with the correct posture, it is much easier to swing the club in a circle around the correct spine angle.
