The only thing better than this filthy Justin Thomas flop? This kid's reaction...

Justin Thomas delighted his home crowd at the 2024 PGA Championship with one of the most audacious lob shots you will ever see.

In case you weren't aware Justin Thomas was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.

That means he has commanded a huge amount of support and attention at the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla.

JT made a surge up the leaderboard on Saturday and undoubtedly his best moment came at the par-3 14th.

Thomas had already made four birdies by this point and was on eight-under par for the championship in the second men's major of the year.

By his standards, his tee shot was awful and his Titlesit Pro V1x sailed over the green into the third cut of rough after he double-crossed a 5-wood.

It left Thomas needing to lob his ball straight up into orbit as the only hope of getting close to the hole.

Not a problem.

He did better than that, and holed out for a birdie two.

Cue roars.

Perhaps the only thing better than this was the kid's reaction behind him.

Watch:

What a moment.

Describing the shot after his round, Thomas said: "That shot is doable when the greens are soft. If they're normal or firm, I can't keep that on the green.

"I just tried to hit it as high as I could because I was into the wind to try to get it to land soft, and as soon as it started rolling, I knew it had a chance, or at least it was on a good line.

"For that to go in was beyond a bonus."

Thomas is searching for his third major title.

His last victory came at this major two years ago at Southern Hills.

Thomas prevailed in a playoff over Will Zalatoris to claim the Wanamaker.

Talking of Zalatoris, this week he put the PGA of America on full blast after he had to walk more than two miles to get to the course.
