Seve Ballesteros' son offers take on Jon Rahm's Ryder Cup future after LIV move
Javier Ballesteros, the son of Seve, has offered his take on Jon Rahm's decision to join LIV Golf and his Ryder Cup future.
The hot takes are flooding in thick and fast after Jon Rahm bolted to LIV Golf.
One topic of debate is the Spaniard's Ryder Cup future as he heads towards an ocean of wealth.
At this point it is certainly worth repeating Europe's Ryder Cup eligibility rules do not have to change for Rahm to be at Bethpage Black in 2025.
The Spaniard has not resigned his DP World Tour membership and, contrary to popular belief, is not banned from the Old World circuit.
European stalwarts such as Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter were not banned either.
The trio of golfers resigned from their home circuit in May over a decision that stemmed from a ruling by Sports Resolutions.
The arbiter decided the golfers had committed serious breaches of the European tour's code of behaviour by playing LIV events without permission.
The ruling paved the way for the circuit to impose fines of up to £100,000.

"I could not really see any other option with all the punishments hanging over me," Westwood later said on the "sad day".
Rahm said one of the biggest hurdles he had to navigate before joining LIV Golf was how it would impact his Ryder Cup future.
He had talked to his equipment sponsor, Callaway, but could not be sure of how Ryder Cup Europe would react.
Asked how his hero Seve Ballesteros would feel about his decision, Rahm said the late icon would 'support me'.
"I would like to think he would want the best for me and he was certainly an ambitious man as well," he said.
Seve's son Javier, despite not being a fan of LIV, was supportive of Rahm's right to play.
He wrote on X: "I am not a huge fan of LIV but also not a detractor as I think in a few years it will be good for golf.
"History and tradition are very important but also bringing new things the spectators and spectacle.
"Everybody is free to express its opinion about Rahm's move but c'mon!
"Golfers should play wherever they want and Rahm has earned the right to choose where and when to play.
"At the end of the day, he will be remembered for the majors and the Ryder Cup.
"And he will definitely be remembered. Huge fan of Jon, now and always!"
Rahm has now played in three Ryder Cups and was instrumental in two of Europe's victories at Le Golf National and Marco Simone Golf & Country Club.
He formed a formidable partnership with England's Tyrrell Hatton at the most recent contest in Italy on his way to grabbing three points.
Rory McIlroy was Europe's top points scorer.
The Northern Irishman has now made a massive U-turn on European LIV players being involved in the Ryder Cup.
