Content creator and professional golfer Wesley Bryan has confirmed he intends to appeal his PGA Tour ban.

Bryan was hit with a suspension by the North American circuit after he decided to play in LIV Golf's 'The Duels' before their stop in Miami.

The tournament saw content creators team up with LIV Golf League players in a nine-hole match similar to the Tour's Creator Classic.

The Duels was uploaded to Grant Horvat's channel and has since attracted more than two million views.

But because the event was deemed 'unauthorised' by the PGA Tour, Bryan has now been banned. The length of his suspension is not known.

It would not be surprising if Bryan's ban was 12 months given other players have also had to serve similar suspensions for competing in LIV events.

"It's been a difficult few weeks—an emotional roller coaster for everyone in our circle," Bryan said in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel.

"But first, I want to thank the PGA Tour. From an early age, they gave me the dream of playing on their tour.

"They've provided me with incredible opportunities, experiences, friendships, amazing golf courses, and unforgettable events.

"So even amid this current disagreement, I want to express our gratitude—they've given us so much."

He continued: "When we started our YouTube journey over ten years ago, our goal was simple: to fund our mini-tour golf dreams in hopes of one day playing on the PGA Tour.

"Over the last few years, YouTube has taken on a bigger role in my life, and it’s been challenging to balance competitive play with content creation.

"But I believe we’ve helped build something special in the YouTube golf community, and I’m committed to continuing that.

"When we had the chance to collaborate on Grant Horvat's channel—alongside five major champions and five of my best friends, who also happen to be fantastic content creators—we jumped at it.

"That kind of opportunity, merging professional and YouTube golf, is something we've dreamed of since the beginning."

Bryan said he respects the PGA Tour's leadership but he intends to appeal.

"Now, regarding the infraction that led to my immediate and indefinite suspension from the PGA Tour: the event in question [The Duels] was deemed unauthorized by the Tour," he said.

"I want to be clear—I respect the Tour's leadership. But due to ambiguity in their rules, I believe I have the right to appeal, which I intend to do.

"From my perspective, the rule in question wasn't written with YouTube content creation in mind.

"It was intended for high-level, organised, professional events. That's why I feel this situation deserves a fair review."
