World number one Scottie Scheffler couldn't believe what happened with this approach during the second round of the BMW Championship.

Hot mics caught Scottie Scheffler drop a loud F-bomb after he was absolutely perplexed with one of his approach shots at the BMW Championship.

The world number one had an up-and-down day at Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado.

He carded a level par 72 that contained five birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey.

It's not the type of scorecard we have come to expect from the two-time Masters champion in 2024.

The aforementioned double-bogey arrived at the par-4 10th hole after he found the water with his second shot.

After taking a penalty drop, Scheffler took aim from 110 yards.

His approach landed on the green and went long into the first cut of rough.

Not for one second did his golf ball threaten to come back off the upslope.

Scheffler turned to his caddie Ted Scott and said twice: "Is that not an upslope? Seriously!"

As he walked towards the green Scheffler could be heard saying: "What the f---!

"How is that possible? How? HOW!"

Watch the outburst here:

Scheffler was the type of player to run a bit hot when he was up-and-coming.

The aforementioned Scott reportedly told Scheffler that he had to sort out his anger issues before he agreed to become his bagman after he split with Bubba Watson.

For the most part Scheffler has kept a cool head over the last couple of years.

But these outbursts are becoming a regular occurrence.

Scheffler was also filmed slamming his wedge into a bunker at last week's FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Some golf fans were quick to joke that spending time in a jail cell before the PGA Championship has changed him after watching this latest clip.

Others pointed out that he may be suffering from a lack of sleep as a new parent.

What do you make of Scheffler?
