Rory McIlroy snapped his driver in half following an errant tee shot on the par-4 9th in the final round at the BMW Championship.
McIlroy's TaylorMade driver shaft snapped in half as he applied pressure over it when bending down to pick up his tee peg.
The Northern Irishman's ball was heading for the water down the right flank, but McIlroy would receive a big break as his ball stayed just short of the ripples and on the grass bank.

Earlier in the week, McIlroy half-heartedly threw his driver in to the lake.
He managed to retrive his driver though.
McIlroy went on to card a 1-under 71 to finish the week T11 on 6-under par.
That was six shots behind Keegan Bradley.
McIlroy will start next week's Tour Championship six shots behind FedEx Cup leader Scottie Scheffler.
The Northern Irishman is a record three-time FedEx Cup holder at East Lake.
McIlroy's driver snap on Sunday came an hour after Matt Fitzpatrick raged at a rules official when not being able to replace his driver, which he considered had a crack on the face.
The PGA Tour rules official deemed the crack was not 'significant damage' under the Local Rule, and so Fitzpatrick was unable to replace his driver.
Scottie Scheffler, who was playing alongside Fitzpatrick, was also not happy with the decision.
