PGA Tour superstar Ludvig Aberg forced out of Wells Fargo Championship
European Ryder Cup hero Ludvig Aberg has been forced to WD from this week's Wells Fargo Championship, a signature event on the PGA Tour.
PGA Tour superstar and European Ryder Cup hero Ludvig Aberg has been forced to withdraw from this week's Wells Fargo Championship.
The $20m tournament at Quail Hollow Club marks the sixth of eight signature events on the PGA Tour this season.
Aberg, 24, has been forced to WD from the tournament due to picking up a knee injury.

Aberg joins World No.1 Scottie Scheffler on the sidelines this week.
Scheffler is out of action as his wife Meredith is expecting their first child.
World No.6 Aberg took to social media to confirm his WD from the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.
He also revealed he plans to still participate in the second major of the season at the US PGA at Valhalla next week.
The talented Swede finished an impressive solo second at The Masters on his major debut last month.
Aberg wrote:
"I'm reaching out to let you know that I'm going to have to withdraw from the Wells Fargo Championship.
"I was very excited to tee it up at Quail Hollow for the first time.
"Unfortunately, I'm dealing with a knee issue and after consulting with my doctors, we think it's best that I take some additional time to rest.
"I hope everyone has a great week and I look forard to teeing it up next week."
Earlier today it was confirmed that Aberg had joined Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's new TGL, which will start up in January 2025.
Aberg is joining The Bay Golf Club, which will also comprise Shane Lowry, Min Woo Lee and Wyndham Clark.
