Charley Hull forced to WD from LPGA event just days after being ripped by pundit
Charley Hull has withdrawn from the Ford Championship due to illness.
Charley Hull was forced to withdraw from the LPGA Tour's Ford Championship during the second round due to illness.
Hull, 28, carded an opening level-par 72 and she then played the first nine holes of her second round in 2-under par.
That saw her move to within two shots of the halfway cut mark.
But it is understood Hull has been struggling with a bout of flu all week and she was forced to WD before heading into the back nine.

Hull has been playing some terrific golf over the past 12 months with a couple of runner-up finishes in the majors, but she remains winless on the LPGA since October 2022.
The English star had a golden chance to pick up her LPGA Tour hat-trick at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship last Sunday but she dropped three shots over her closing two holes to finish T10 and four strokes behind newly-promoted World No.1 Nelly Korda.
It marked a fourth top-10 finish for Hull in her last five worldwide starts this season.
But Sky Sports Golf pundit and three-time LPGA Tour winner Trish Johnson slammed Hull following her latest near-miss.
Johnson, 58, considers Hull's aggressive course management in going hunting for every flag is holding her back from success.
