Tour pro labels LIV stars Talor Gooch and Anthony Kim 'f---ing idiots'
LIV Golf critic Eddie Pepperell has taken a dim view at Anthony Kim's return and Talor Gooch's comments.
Eddie Pepperell has taken aim at Talor Gooch and Anthony Kim, labelling the LIV Golf stars 'f---ing idiots'.
Gooch and Kim have been in the headlines ahead of LIV Golf's third event of the 2024 season in Jeddah.
Kim, a one-time breakout PGA Tour and Ryder Cup star, has returned to the game after a 12 year absence.
It has been speculated there is only one reason Kim, now 38 years old, has decided to return to the lucrative LIV Golf League.
For his part Gooch has been in the headlines after he once again complained about LIV not receiving world ranking points.
Gooch, 30, said if Rory McIlroy wins the career grand slam at this year's Masters then it should come with an 'asterisk'.
His comment sparked a wild reaction in the golf world. McIlroy has responded and went easy on Gooch. For the most part.
Pepperell took a dim view of Gooch's comments and he also appeared to see a hype video circulated by Kim's team.
That video showed clips of Kim over the last few years, building up to his return in Saudi Arabia.
At the end of the video, it was captioned: "Hello haters, I'm back."
Within two days, one LIV golfer suggests Rory winning the Grand Slam in April should come with an asterisk, and another player, idolised and mythologised by so many, returns to pro golf by joining LIV and remarks that he's somehow "hated"..
Honestly, these f*cking idiots.— Eddie Pepperell (@PepperellEddie) February 28, 2024
