Tommy Fleetwood's reaction to TGL first speaks volumes
Tommy Fleetwood was left perplexed as the English had the opportunity to take the first ever mulligan in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's golf league.
England's Tommy Fleetwood was left visibly perplexed on his TGL debut after his shot failed to register with the launch monitor.
Fleetwood was given the first ever mulligan on Tuesday evening when his outfit, Los Angeles, faced off against Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf.
LA ended up winning the contest comfortably 6-2 but what transpired at the par-5 second was the standout moment of the night.
Fleetwood blasted his ball towards the target but nothing initially happened. Seconds later, text on the screen stated: "Invalid reading."
McIlroy immediately chimed in, saying: "What just happened?"
Fleetwood's teammate, Justin Rose, joked the European Ryder Cup star 'hit it too flush'.

TGL was prepared for the moment as the rules state that players are able to re-hit should the error occur. The on-site referee has to make the call, though.
Said rule states: "The referee or booth official shall have the ability to deem a shot during screenplay an 'inaccurate computation' at their discretion to maintain the integrity of the match and facilitate the competition."
Fleetwood ended up winning the hole, giving his team a 2-0 lead at that point.
It wasn't the only confusing moment of the night.
Collin Morikawa's also tee shot on the eighth hole also somehow managed to stay dry.
Just look at his face:
The aforementioned McIlroy did state before his TGL debut against Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links that he had concerns whether or not the technology was accurate.
Concerns were raised after Woods airmailed a short wedge shot 20 yards over the back of the green on one occasion.
Former U.S. Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick also appeared to be a disbeliever the data was accurate.
McIlroy turned up to the SoFi Center with two launch monitors and later told reporters his fears were shortly put to bed.
He said he tested the TGL Full Swing launch monitor against his personal GC Quad and TrackMan.
McIlroy said he hit 'virtually identical' numbers with all three.

"I hit balls in there for 90 minutes. I think the big thing for us is you're hitting into a screen," he said.
"It's obviously a big screen, but when you're playing outside you've got some sort of connection to the target, right?
"This is what we grew up doing, this is what we know.
"So when you get in there, it's very -- it's very difficult or hard to be like OK, I'm going to aim, you know, on the right half of the screen or the left half of the screen and trust that it's actually going to do what you want it to do.
TGL now takes a week off but will return on 17 February when Atlanta play LA.
After five weeks, LA are top of the standings with two victories from two matches.
New York are dead last having lost to The Bay and Atlanta.
