Paul Casey takes aim at his LIV Golf captain Bryson DeChambeau: "No excuses"
Paul Casey aimed a dig at his LIV Golf captain Bryson DeChambeau after the American deserted the Englishman at a news conference in Hong Kong.
Paul Casey claimed Bryon DeChambeau had 'no excuses' after the American appeared to skip a LIV Golf press talk in Hong Kong.
Casey holed a spectacular bunker shot on his final hole of the day to force a playoff against Abraham Ancer and Cameron Smith.
But it was Ancer who emerged victorious after the Mexican fired a dart into the first playoff hole to set up the easiest of birdie putts.
Still, there was reason for Casey to be cheerful given the Crushers won the team element and got to split the top prize of $3,000,000.
It was the second event in a row the Crushers had won after their surprise triumph in Jeddah a week ago.

Unsurprisingly, the team of Casey, DeChambeau, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri sit atop the team standings through four LIV events.
Casey joined the media after his near miss but there was no sign of his teammates.
The Englishman said: "I make my apologies for my team. Charles Howell has got a flight I think about 7:30pm and so does Nicky's caddie.
"But I've got no idea where Bryson is. He's got no excuses."
Despite the 'dig', Casey did have nothing but positives to say about his team. And his captain.
"We're all very different in our approaches not only on how we play golf but how we prepare for the week and various things like that," he said.
"There's not a lot of similarities or similar traits. But I think that's what's beautiful about it."
Casey continued: "We spoke after we won the championship last year. I've had some experience with team golf.
"Bryson has been a bloody good captain, and I think part of being a good captain is letting guys do what they do best in order to -- go do what you need to do in order to play the best golf. He doesn't necessarily try to control us."
