Max Homa reveals the 'most underrated golfer' (and he plays on LIV Golf)
Max Homa believes LIV Golf star is the 'most underrated golfer' on the planet in 2024. Do you agree?
PGA Tour star Max Homa has revealed new LIV Golf pro Tyrrell Hatton is the 'most underrated player' in the sport in 2024.
Six-time PGA Tour winner Homa, 33, made his feelings be known when responding to a tweet from CBS Sports' Kyle Porter.
Porter tweeted:
Homa replied:
Hatton, 32, has six DP World Tour titles to his name including four Rolex Series wins, but he has just the one PGA Tour victory coming at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The Englishman performed admirably at the 2023 Ryder Cup going unbeaten in Rome taking 3.5 points from a possible four.
It marked Hatton's third appearance in the European Ryder Cup team.
Hatton last week agreed to join his Ryder Cup teammate Jon Rahm on his new Legion XIII team on the LIV Golf League.
Legion XIII got off to the perfect possible start as they ran out comfortable four-stroke victors at Mayakoba in Mexico.
Hatton closed impressively with a 7-under 64 for the lowest final round.
He is currently ranked 15th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
But with LIV Golf still not eligible to receive any points, Hatton's only chance to pick up OWGR points will be at the majors of which he is still qualified for this season as a result of his status in the rankings.
Hatton is competing in this week's second LIV Golf event of the season in Las Vegas.
He revealed a comical moment ahead of the tournament involving his new Legion XIII teammate Caleb Surratt.
Homa, the World No.8, is competing on the PGA Tour's WM Phoenix Open at famed TPC Scottsdale this week.
