Bryson DeChambeau has outlined an astonishing 10-year plan that includes developing a community on 200 acres of land in his hometown.

DeChambeau offered a few details on his grand idea in a recent appearance on The Joe Pomp Show

He also lifted the lid on how his deal with Reebok came about, aspirations with his YouTube channel, plans to develop a driver and the future of his LIV Golf team.

Of particular note was the project to develop a community in California.

"We are doing a mega project," DeChambeau told the pod

"It's been in the works for a couple of years now and we're at the place where we are getting permits [to build]."

He added: "People know about it now. We have acquired massive amounts of land in my hometown."

DeChambeau said there is a 'three-phase' project to build a whole community 'to increase the size of where I grew up by 30 per cent'.

"It's a full-scale plan, fully thought out," he said.

"It's not only to bring golfers to the game but also to bring people to the central valley."

DeChambeau was reluctant to go into all of the details.

But he asserted: "Sometimes I can talk a pretty big game but ultimately I feel like over the course of time I will be able to back that up.

"A lot of the reason why I have been able to do this is because of LIV

"They gave me the economic viability to do these things and the platform to be able to do it."

DeChambeau was referring the contract he signed in 2022 which saw him banned on the PGA Tour

It is understood he received more than $100m.

DeChambeau has also banked $29,847,617 in prize money on the course since joining the rival league and much more cash for his performances in the majors.

LIV Golf's backer is Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

Academy plans

DeChambeau was also asked about the direction of his Crushers side.

He said: "I think the more interesting thing for me is creating academies and golf courses.

"How cool would it be to have academies across the globe? In the Philippines and India.

"Places where you could make it economically more viable and affordable.

"I am working with an equipment company right now to make it happen."

He added: "There is probably a five-step process to this whole thing.

"It involves, I will be quite frank on this, but from a government perspective, an economic viability perspective, an accessibility perspective, a Crusher's perspective, and an academy perspective, all those have to line up.

"I am hitting it from every angle. Why I am saying it right now, I don’t know.

"But that's ultimately what I am trying to accomplish is a full 360-encompassing thing."
