Strong winds force AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am into Monday finish
Play was suspended at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am which marked the first time a PGA Tour event was halted due to strong winds since 2021.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been forced into a Monday finish after strong winds halted play during the third round on Saturday.
The action was suspended at the Pro-Am at 12.12 pm local time at Monterey Peninsula Country Club and at 12.20 pm at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill.
The PGA Tour initially announced that play would start again at 2 pm, but this idea was scrapped. Play was suspended for the day and the third round will resume at 8 am on Sunday.
If there are no further weather delays, the third round will resume at 12.30 pm and conclude on Monday. Only professionals will compete in the final round and the cut will be changed to the low 65 and ties.
This is the first time that a PGA Tour event has been halted due to strong winds since the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in 2021. Peter Malnati currently holds the lead on 12-under by two shots.

"I want to be out there and I hate for this tournament that this is going on. Because the Pro-Am portion is such an amazing part of this event. It's part of what makes it special," Malnati said.
"So I hate that for the tournament that they're going to have to cut the pro-am part short. So that stinks."
Malnati is also sat in second place in the Pro-Am with his amateur partner Don Colleran. Aaron Rodgers and Ben Silverman lead the way by three shots on this side of the competition.
Malnati, 35, is looking for his second win on the PGA Tour and his first since the 2016 Sanderson Farms Championship. Josh Bramlett and Keith Mitchell are currently his closest pursuers on 10-under.
Viktor Hovland, who won the US Amateur at Pebble Beach in 2018, reached 8-under after nine holes of his second round. He will no doubt be part of the chasing pack on Monday afternoon.
