PGA Tour: How much did each player win at John Deere Classic?
J.T. Poston produced a fine performance at TPC Deere Run to become the second wire-to-wire winner on the PGA Tour in 2022.
J.T. Poston won the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run on Sunday, carding a final-round 69 to finish three shots clear of Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Emiliano Grillo.
Although the two internationals couldn't keep up with the American, all three players secured places in The 150th Open Championship at St Andrews next week.
Poston entered the final round with a three-shot lead and he immediately extended his advantage in Illinois with three birdies in his opening three holes.
With a birdie on the 10th hole, Grillo closed the gap to one shot but he gave shots back to the course on the 12th and 14th holes. Poston's lead was back to two and he all but confirmed the victory with a birdie on the par-5 17th hole.
He is now a two-time winner on the PGA Tour and he is the second wire-to-wire winner of the year after Joaquin Niemann led from start to finish at the Genesis Invitational.
