REVEALED: Memo sent to LIV Golf Tour players before BMW PGA Championship
The 18 LIV Golf Tour players who are teeing it up at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth have been sent a memo by the DP World Tour chief executive.
The 18 LIV Golf Tour players who have entered next week's BMW PGA Championship are facing more than a frosty welcome at Wentworth.
According to a report by James Corrigan of The Telegraph, the "rebels" have been told:
- They are not allowed to play in the Pro-Am
- They have been asked not to wear any logos linked to the series
- They will not be in featured groups
This was revealed per a memo by the DP World Tour chief executive, Keith Pelley, who wrote to the LIV players:
"As an FYI, you will not be required to play in the Wednesday pro-am and out of respect for our broadcasters and your fellow competitors we would kindly ask you to consider not wearing LIV-golf apparel."

This news also came on a significant day for Ryder Cup Europe, as the Tour responded to the ongoing threat of LIV by outlining the selection process for next year's biennial event in Rome.
Tour bosses have handed Luke Donald more power than any other captain before him, granting him as many as six wildcards.
Donald replaced Henrik Stenson after the 46-year-old Swede joined the LIV Golf Tour before the third event in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Stenson won the event and then took a dig at Ryder Cup Europe, saying that he "played like a captain".
A star-studded field is due to descend onto Wentworth next week, highlighted by the likes of newly-crowned FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy won $18million at East Lake last week and then blasted LIV Golf again after claiming the Tour Championship.
The Northern Irishman said it will be "hard to stomach" seeing the LIV defectors playing at Wentworth.
"I hate what it's doing to the game of golf. I hate it. I really do. Like it's going to be hard for me to stomach going to Wentworth in a couple of weeks' time and seeing 18 of them there. That just doesn't sit right with me," he said.
"So yeah, I feel strongly. I believe what I'm saying are the right things, and I think when you believe that what you're saying is the right things, you're happy to stick your neck out on the line."
LIV Golf announced six new signings this week. They are Cameron Smith, Anirban Lahiri, Harold Varner III, Cameron Tringale, Marc Leishman and Joaquin Niemann.
