PGA Tour winner SLAMS LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau over "CLUELESS" OWGR comments
PGA Tour Champions pro Steve Flesch takes aim at Bryson DeChambeau after his OWGR rant.
Four-time PGA Tour winner Steve Flesch has blasted Bryson DeChambeau after hearing him rant about LIV Golf still not receiving Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.
LIV Golf last week announced a new 'strategic alliance' with the Dubai-based MENA Tour in a bid to try and get their tournaments recoginsed by the OWGR.
Everyone on LIV Golf, and the MENA Tour for that matter, thought points would be immediately awarded at LIV Golf Bangkok last week.
But the OWGR ruled otherwise (for now), and DeChambeau was furious.
"I mean, they are delaying the inevitable. We've hit every mark in their criteria," said a frustrated DeChambeau.
"So, for us not to get points is kind of crazy with, at least I believe [we have], the top players in the world. Not all of them, but we certainly believe there is enough that are in the top 50 and we deserve to be getting world ranking points."
He added: "When they keep holding it back they're just gonna keep playing a waiting game where we're gonna keep dropping down the world rankings to where our points won't ever matter. And that's what they are trying to accomplish.
"I hope that people can see right through that rather than believe the lies they have been told. From my perspective, I think we deserve points."

Reflecting on DeChambeau's comments to the media about not yet receiving OWGR points, PGA Tour Champions pro Flesch hit out at the 2020 US Open champion.
"Bryson on not getting OWGR points.... it takes a certain level of entitlement and cluelessness to make this statement," tweeted Flesch.
"They are 0-7 in hitting any of the criteria."
DeChambeau, who finished solo 14th and picked up a cheque for $270,000 at LIV Golf Bangkok, has now slumped to 49th in the world rankings.
Flesch won four times in total on the PGA Tour and now plays on the PGA Tour Champions where he has three victories to his name, the last of which came two weeks ago at Pebble Beach.
