Bubba Watson expected to be named as the next LIV Golf player in Bedminster
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson is reportedly going to be announced as the next LIV Golf player during the Bedminster tournament.
Bubba Watson has been hotly linked with a move to LIV Golf in recent months and the two-time Masters champion is finally expected to be announced on the circuit during this week's LIV Golf Bedminster tournament.
Watson, 43, has won 12 times on the PGA Tour, highlighted by two Green Jackets in 2012 and 2014, but he has not won on the PGA Tour since the 2018 Travelers Championship.
It is now anticipated, according to Handicap 54 (which has pretty much nailed all the latest signings), that Watson will be confirmed as a LIV Golf player during the Bedminster tournament.
Handicap 54 adds, however, that Watson will not play in a LIV Golf event in 2022 but that he will start his venture on the circuit in 2023 where he will also act as one of the team captains.
It is understood the signing-on fee will be in the region of $50 million.
@bubbawatson will be a captain, who won't play for this year and will be ready for the first event of 2023.

Watson will be 44 in November.
Henrik Stenson, Paul Casey, Jason Kokrak and Charles Howell III will make their LIV Golf debuts in Bedminster this week.
Another rumour flying around the Tour this week is that 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama will be heading to LIV Golf soon, too.
It is understood that Matsuyama has been offered a sensational $400 million to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf.
