Swing sequence: Peter Hanson 2012
We take a closer look at one of the hottest swings in town
It's been some year for Peter Hanson. After a fast start to the season with top-five finishes at the Qatar Masters, WGC-Cadillac and The Masters, the 35-year-old Swede has gone from strength to strength and currently sits second in the Race to Dubai standings following two wins in his last three starts, including last week's BMW Masters in Shanghai.
The World No.17 has credited his rich vein of form down to a hot TaylorMade Ghost Spider S, but judging by these series of snaps from the BMW PGA earlier this season, putting is just about all Hanson needs to worry about.
From this swing sequence you can see Hanson has an orthodox address position but appears quite open as he often likes to play a fade.
Into the backswing and Hanson's upper body moves forward and his weight moves toward the toes, as his left knee sticks out and slightly forward.
The downswing, however, is very impressive as the TaylorMade-adidas Golf staffer drives his weight towards his toes and gets the shaft on his desired swing plane.
Into the impact position and Hanson's shoulders and hips are nicely open, which ensures great clubface control and power as the driver squares up to the ball.
