Golf fans call for new Tiger Woods PGA Tour EA Sports game in 2020!

Back winning tournaments again and seemingly in a fit bill of health, golf fans and gamers around the world believe that can only mean one thing - and that is to get Tiger Woods back on the front cover of a PGA Tour EA Sports game in 2020. 

Woods tied Sam Snead's record of 82 PGA Tour wins on Sunday when sealing a commanding three-stroke victory at the ZOZO Championship in Japan. 

The victory also marked Woods' second tournament win of the season, following his monumental triumph at The Masters in April which chalked up his 15th career major title and first major win since the 2008 US Open. 

Woods then went through a difficult summer, earning just one top-10 finish in his next six tournaments after being victorious at Augusta National.

He also missed two cuts during that span, and withdrew from the Northern Trust before going on to miss out on his title defence at the Tour Championship after failing to qualify for the top 30 in the FedEx Cup.

Back into the pits for yet another knee surgery appointment, and it would seem to have made all the difference for the former World No.1 as he came back to trounce his rivals with ease in Japan's inaugural ZOZO Championship at the weekend. 

Woods led from start to finish with a pair of opening 64s adding to rounds of 66 and 67 as he reached 19-under par for a three-stroke victory over home favourite Hideki Matsuyama. 

As a result of arguably the greatest comeback season by anyone in the history of sport, let alone golf, a flurry of golf fans and gamers are now tagging EA Sports in their tweets to bring back the company's classic Tiger Woods PGA Tour game that has been removed from the shelves for six years now. 

The famous Tiger Woods PGA Tour video game - which was released 14 different times - dropped Woods' name in 2013 under "mutual agreement" during a time when the American was going through some personal issues off the course. 

"EA Sports and Tiger Woods have made a mutual decision to end our partnership, which includes Tiger's named PGA Tour golf game," wrote an EA Sports statement back in 2013. 

"We've always been big fans of Tiger and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.

"EA Sports golf fans have always loved authentic courses and players, but they've also asked for more choice and customization in how and where they play."

But with Woods having made his own comeback both off and on the course, golf fans want EA Sports to do something similar.
