WITB Nelly Korda: Mizuho Americas Open
Nelly Korda relies on TaylorMade to continue her streak of dominance on the LPGA Tour, with her sixth win in seven starts coming at the Mizuho Americas Open.
Nelly Korda has continued her sheer dominance on the LPGA Tour, recording her sixth win in seven starts with victory at the Mizuho Americas Open.
Korda, 25, became just the fourth player to win six times or more in a season on the LPGA with her victory at Liberty National Golf Club.
The world No.1 closed out the tournament with rounds of 65 and 71 on the weekend to finish at 14-under, one shot clear of Australian Hannah Green.
Korda's final round got off to a rocky start, with three bogeys coming on the front nine.
Thankfully, she managed to steady the ship and carded a blemish-free back nine that also included three birdies, coming on the 10th, 13th and 15th holes.
The victory earned Korda a $450k winner's cheque, bringing her annual earnings to just under $3m.
Having now secured six titles in 2024, Korda's LPGA win tally now sits at 14, and her lead at the Race to CME Global Season has extended even further.
Korda's five other victories this season came at The Chevron Championship, T-Mobile Match Play, Ford Championship, Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, and LPGA Drive On Championship.
