Danny Willett signs deal with clothing brand Descente
Masters champion will showcase luxury apparel in Abu Dhabi this week
Danny Willett has been announced as brand ambassador for luxury sportswear company Descente.
The Englishman has signed a long-term deal to wear the company's apparel, which he will showcase at next week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
“The clothing is fantastic quality and I really like the style,” the 29-year-old said. “It's unique and not like anything else you see out on tour. My family and I have also been using the skiwear and it is brilliant. I'm proud to be an ambassador of such a great clothing company.”

Willett won the Masters last April in a career-best year, also competing in the Ryder Cup and Olympics.
“There is a great symmetry with the new relationship. At Descente, we are always striving to deliver the ultimate sportswear performance in a fresh and exciting way, and that is mirrored by Danny’s play on the course,” said Catherine JuYoung Rhee, sports marketing manager for Descente.
“This is the perfect partnership for us and gives us the opportunity to globally increase our presence in what is a rapidly-expanding market for us.”
Descente makes high quality, functional performance sportswear with modern design. The Japanese brand began manufacturing skiwear, and now supplies the Swiss ski team, British and Swiss triathlon teams and German bobsleigh, luge and skeleton teams.
The knowledge it has gained from other sports is being implemented in its new golf range, launched in 2015, which is described as “premium athletic golf wear”.
