Who is Alex Fitzpatrick's girlfriend? Meet talented golfer Rachel Kuehn
Alex Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of PGA Tour pro and 2022 US Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick, is currently in a relationship with Rachel Kuehn.
Alex may be the lesser known of the Fitzpatrick brothers when it comes to professional golf but he can certainly play.
And so can his girlfriend Rachel Kuehn.
Alex met Rachel at Wake Forest University and they have been boyfriend and girlfriend since the summer of 2023.
At the time they met, Rachel was ranked 4th in the amateur standings.
"I'm not sure what she's doing with me," Alex joked when he confirmed their relationship during season two of Full Swing on Netflix.
"So I'm pretty lucky."
The fifth episode explored Alex's relationship with his older brother Matthew, who plays on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
Matthew claimed his maiden major championship triumph at the 2022 U.S. Open at Brookline and it was clear that Alex felt as though he lived in his brother's shadow.
Of Alex, Rachel said: "First time I met him there was just something about the way he carried himself, which everyone seems to be drawn into.
"We kind of started talking and three years down the road here we are."
Rachel said she had dealt with similar issues to Alex growing up.
"I felt like I almost had something to prove to show that I'm my own person," she said.
"Alex feels that all the work he puts into his golf kind of gets discounted because of his older brother.
"He really wants to feel like he can belong and that he does belong, and I know how much time and effort he’s put into it."
Early life and family
Rachel was born in 2001 in Asheville, North Carolina.
Her family have deep ties to the sport.
Rachel's grandfather Jack Corrie represented Venezuela at the 1958 Eisenhower Trophy.
The tournament, which was played at the Old Course in St Andrews, was the first world amateur team championship.
Jack later played golf and basketball at the renowned MIT.
Rachel's mother, Brenda Corrie-Kuehn, was a hall of fame golfer at Wake Forest.
Brenda claimed medallist honours at the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur in 1995 and 1996.
She also secured the clinching point for Team USA at the 1998 Curtis Cup.
Brenda also played the 2011 U.S. Women's Open at Pine Needles whilst eight months pregnant with Rachel.
Her father, Eric, and her two uncles were Division 1 baseball players.
Rachel's brother Corrie is also a dab golfer and played at Rhodes College.
