2016 Masters champion Danny Willett holes his third shot for an eagle on the par five 8th to move to solo second at -4.
A good contender for shot of the tournament so far.
2016 Masters champion Danny Willett holes his third shot for an eagle on the par five 8th to move to solo second at -4.
A good contender for shot of the tournament so far.
The blockbuster group of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele are now starting their second round.
You can't help but feel this is a big day for McIlroy as he aims to complete the career grand slam.
Max Homa drops a shot on the tricky 11th hole, which means he now shares the lead with Scheffler, Hojgaard and DeChambeau at -6.
All four are three shots clear of the chasing pack, which includes Cameron Davis, Corey Conners, and Ryan Fox, who are at -3.
From the 10th hole to the 12th, Watson dropped eight shots.
The two-time champion made two double bogeys and a quad for one of the most destructive stretches we've seen this year.
It doesn't look like Watson will be slipping on his third green jacket this year.
The young Swede stiffs it in close on the 9th and then taps in for one of the easiest birdies you could hope for.
Two birdies on the bounce mean he's now level par and tied for 25th.
Can the prodigious talent get things going on the back nine, putting him in a position to compete over the weekend? We hope so.
A bogey for DeChambeau on the 4th hole means Homa has the solo lead on day two.
Homa -7 (9)
Scheffler -6 (18:48 BST)
DeChambeau -6 (4)
Hojgaard -4 (12)
Young -4 (10)
Woods makes an excellent up and down on the 9th to stay at +1.
After his second shot flew into the patrons right of the green, he hit a sumptuous flop shot before rolling in a tricky ten-footer.
Homa also remains atop the leaderboard at the turn with a very straightforward par on the 9th.
Day rolled in a lovely birdie putt to move to +2.
I'm leaving you in the capable hands of my colleague Johnny Percival to take you through to the conclusion of the second round of the 2024 Masters.
DeChambeau -7 (3)
The par-4 third is naughty, isn't it?
How many times have we seen Masters hopefuls come unstuck here?
DeChambeau leaves himself 50 yards and opts to go high with his second.
And his birdie putt misses right.
Still, another par for the former U.S. Open champion.
Jon Rahm (+1) is working on his short game before his 18:36 BST tee time.
The defending champion looked somewhat out of sorts yesterday, losing far too many shots to the left.
That's not what we have come to expect from the Spaniard.
Homa -7 (8)
DeChambeau -7 (2)
Scheffler -6 (18:48 BST)
Hojgaard -5 (10)
Young -4 (9)
Willett -4 (4)
Davis -3 (16)
Moore -3 (4)
Woods +1, Day +3, Homa -7 (8)
Outta boy, Tiger.
Woods takes advantage of the par-5 eighth.
A flighted wedge saw Woods have four feet to move back to one over.
Meanwhile, Homa burns the edge with his birdie attempt.
He cleans up for par, though.
Day also holes a gutsy putt for his five.
DeChambeau -7 (2)
The joint leader saves par at the second after attempting an audacious lob shot with his third at the par-5 second.
DeChambeau's effort was short and he landed in the sand.
He splashed out to about 12 feet and just caught the edge of the cup with the right-to-left slider down the hill.
That's two brilliant par saves to begin for DeChambeau.
Willett -4 (4)
Willett was arguably the story of day one at the 2024 Masters, given he hasn't played competitively since last September.
He dropped a shot at the first after a wild tee shot, but has clawed that back with a delightful birdie at the fourth hole.
Homa -7 (7)
The American has an outside chance of birdie after playing partner Woods taps in for a bogey.
His effort from mid-range races past the hole and leaves him far more than he'd like coming back.
No problem, though, and he jars the par putt.
He's level with Bryson DeChambeau at the top.
Woods +2 (7)
Fresh off an unlikely birdie, Woods can't take advantage of his perfect tee shot on the seventh.
Woods finds the front trap from the fairway and can't save par from about 10 feet.
He played that par putt too far to the right...
DeChambeau -7 (1)
The big man hits the green at the first but his golf ball rolls off the putting surface.
He knocks it close from about 20 yards then rattles in the par putt.
That will settle any nerves.
Woods +1, Homa -7, Day +3 (6)
Just stop it, Tiger!
Big cat chips in on the par-3 sixth after missing the green left.
He needed that. He really needed that.
And his tee shot at the seventh is a pearler. Fairway found.
McIlroy (-1) will begin his second round alongside world number one Scheffler (-6) at 18:48 BST.
They are playing alongside Xander Schauffele (E).
The Northern Irishman looked tense yesterday, but still produced his best ever opening round at the Masters since 2018.
Bryson DeChambeau finally managed to solve Augusta National yesterday, breaking 70 for the first time.
The LIV Golf man entertained the patrons with a seven under 65.
And, rather predictably, he nukes his opening drive straight down the middle of the fairway.
Young -5 (6)
The American began the second round on two under.
And he is playing splendidly in round two.
He's just managed to birdie the par-3 sixth for his third birdie of the round.
Young currently has a clean card.
Fleetwood E (3)
Tommy Fleetwood made bogey at the second after making par at one.
He found the fairway bunker and laid up, but missed his wedge long.
Then he couldn't convert his par putt down the hill after leaving his fourth well short of the hole.
But Fleetwood isn't going anywhere anytime soon and he finds a birdie at the third.
Woods +2, Day +3, Homa -7 (5)
Woods and Homa are very sociable at the fifth, finding the fairway bunker.
Of course, they each take their medicine and splash out.
Woods leaves his approach about 25 feet short and despite a decent attempt, he misses low.
Homa plonks his approach inside Woods and salvages his par. That took some stones.
Day settles for a par.
Nervous, Tiger fans?
