Lucas Glover withdraws from PGA Tour event at the last minute for stupid reason
Lucas Glover has revealed he was forced to withdraw from the PGA Tour's Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale at the last minute.
Multiple PGA Tour winner Lucas Glover had to withdraw from the Waste Management Phoenix Open at the last minute.
Glover revealed to Golf Channel he had a text message from a tournament official asking where he was one minute before his schedule tee-time.
But the golfer misread his text messages from the Tour informing him which group he would be playing in earlier in the week.
"I just misread my text messages," he told the publication. "I'm kicking myself but laughing at myself at the same time."
Glover was supposed to be playing alongside Nico Echavarria and Tom Hoge. He was replaced in the field by Ryo Hisatsune.
The defending champion of the Waste Management Phoenix Open is Scottie Scheffler.
