To say LIV Golf's Scott Vincent endured a crazy day at the International Series Morroco on the Asian Tour would be something of an understatement.

Vincent, who represents Kevin Na's Iron Heads team in the breakaway tour, discovered that his luggage had been misplaced.

He did not know this when he arrived at Royal Golf Dar Es Alam before round one, so he returned to the airport to retrieve his belongings and his clubs.

Frustratingly, Vincent could not locate them, so it was absolutely no surprise that he was late for his 12.30pm tee time on Thursday.

Vincent reported for his first round tee time alongside Eugenio Chacarra and Jazz Janewattananond four minutes and 30 seconds late.

Had he arrived 30 seconds later, then he would have been booted out of the competition.

Instead, the rules of golf allowed him to begin his round with a two-shot penalty.

Vincent then produced an incredible performance, shooting five-under with a full set of borrowed clubs.

After his round, he said: "I had zero expectations today, but feel we definitely learned something that will help us get better in future.

"So in a way it was great to play, the pressure was off and I just wanted to see what would happen."

By coincidence, Vincent's younger brother Kieran, also had his clubs lost.

Kieran, who is part of Jon Rahm's LIV side, also teed off with a set of borrowed clubs and signed for a one-under 72.

Later in the evening, it was reported that Scott's clubs had been located but Kieran's had not.

By day's end, Japan's Jinichiro Kozuma held a one-shot lead over the aforementioned Chacarra on eight-under.

John Catlin, who is eyeing up a permanent spot in the LIV circuit, was also in the top-10.
