Tyrrell Hatton's divot pattern on the range is a thing of beauty in Jeddah
We bet you can't do what Tyrrell Hatton just did on the range at LIV Golf Jeddah!
Ever wondered how best to take divots when you are honing your game on the range? Let one of the world's best golfers in Tyrrell Hatton show you how it's done.
In order to make sure you are following the best possible golf range practice, it is common courtesy for players to hit in a linear divot pattern.
This will very much keep your greenkeeper happy as it will ensure for much faster recovery of the turf.
Scattered divots (i.e. taking divots all over the place) on a grass range will mean it will take vastly longer for the grass to recover, and give your greenkeeper a headache.
Another big reason to not take scattered divots is that it results in the most turf loss and uses up the largest area of a tea stall.
If you ever find yourself attending a professional golf tournament, it's definitely worth spending a few moments not only admiring the swings of the best players in the world but also how they go about taking divots and their general range practice.
Hatton might be considered one of the best ball strikers around, so you would expect his turf interaction to be on point, but just watch how the LIV Golf star goes about his business on the range ahead of this week's tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Notice how Hatton neatly hits his shots in diagonal linear lines. It's a thing of beauty!

Hatton was announced as one of LIV Golf's new signings for 2024.
The Englishman joined forces with his European Ryder Cup teammate Jon Rahm on Legion XIII.
It is estimated Hatton signed for LIV Golf in the region of $60m, which is reportedly 10 times less the fee that Rahm accepted.
Rahm's team also comprises Kieran Vincent and Caleb Surratt.
Legion XIII were crowned team winners of the opening LIV Golf Mayakoba in Mexico earlier this month.
