LIV Golf chief executive Scot O'Neil says he expects multiple high-profile stars to renew their contracts with the breakaway league.

Several notable golfers' deals with the PIF-backed tour are due to expire at the conclusion of the 2026 campaign.

Chief among them are major champion Brooks Koepka and social media content king Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau revealed before the US Open he will open up negotiations after the season ends in August and doesn't plan to go anywhere

Former Masters champion Fred Couples claimed Koepka was unhappy and wanted to return to the PGA Tour but the five-times major winner is keeping his cards close to his chest.

O'Neil, who replaced the divisive Greg Norman at the top job six months ago, doesn't seem worried about the topic.

He told the Rick Shiels Golf Show 'everyone wants to be back' and conversations are already underway.

"Some [contracts] are ending at different times, some 2024, some 25, 26, 27, 28 and even 29," he said. "It depends on the person and what the length is.

"If you're a LIV Golf fan, I'd have very little concern to what's happening. Conversations are going very well."

"It'll be too much of a news circus"

The PGA Tour recently named former NFL executive Brian Rolapp as their first chief executive.

He will gradually take over the day-to-day responsibilities of commissioner Jay Monahan before the 55-year-old leaves his post at the end of 2026.

Some have already suggested Monahan's role is already ceremonial with Rolapp wielding the true decision-making power.

Rolapp has deep ties with O'Neil as the pair attended Harvard Business School together.

The link has led some to suggest it will protract peace talks between the two circuits.

The PGA Tour entered into a framework agreement with LIV's financiers more than two years ago but a deal appears unlikely to ever be consummated.

Rolapp has reportedly already told PGA Tour members that talks are at a complete stalemate

Some former players, pundits and analysts have suggested there should, at the very least, there should be some cross-pollination between the circuits to get stronger fields.

O'Neil said: "Are there opportunities for our golfers to play more golf together? Absolutely.

"Is Brian going to help facilitate that at a faster pace, of course. I'm still a new guy at six months, Brian is a new guy at six minutes. Hopefully it leads to good things."

O'Neil said he would have no trouble inviting his counterpart to a LIV event, though he admitted his proposal would likely be rejected.

Instead, he will meet Rolapp at the forthcoming Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

He added: "He's someone I know really well and have a lot of respect for. I doubt he'll come [to a LIV event], it'll be too much of a news circus.

"I don't think I would encroach on his energy too. I imagine he'll come to The Open and we'll spend some time there."

"I hope so"

O'Neil also confirmed there is likely to be a women's LIV Golf League in the next two or three years.

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia already sponsors the Aramco Team Series.

Speaking before the US Women's Open, the LPGA Tour's new commissioner Craig Kessler appeared keen on the idea of any kind of investment.

O'Neil said LIV's chairman, mastermind and PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan is a 'huge proponent' of women's sports

"He's the chairman of Aramco, the largest partner, and now through Golf Saudi, they'll become one of the biggest players in women's sports, and sports in general, around the world," he said.

"I think in the next two-to-three years you'll see us enter women's golf and, fortunately, on a platform of incredible investment by the Kingdom and through Aramco and through Golf Saudi."
