Greg Norman has hit back at a Golf Digest article that claims Jon Rahm is unhappy on LIV Golf and is desperate for a return to the PGA Tour

According to a Golf Digest article written by Jaime Diaz earlier this week, an unnaned 'veteran Tour insider' told the publication "if Jon Rahm could give the money back to the Saudis and come back to the PGA Tour, he couldn't write the cheque fast enough."

Rahm shocked the world when accepting a reported $600m fee to join LIV Golf at the end of 2023.

That was a year after Rahm told the media he had no interest of joining the breakaway Saudi league and that the money would make no difference to his life.

Norman hits back at Rahm rumour

LIV Golf CEO Norman made his feelings be known after reading Golf Digest's latest article on Rahm during the second round broadcast of LIV Golf Greenbrier on Saturday.

The Australian's views came a day after Rahm himself laughed off the rumour with an expletive.

Norman said during the second round broadcast of LIV Golf Greenbrier:

"I read an article yesterday about how Jon is so unhappy here [LIV Golf] and that he wants to give back his money. It's just not true. You speak to Jon's general manager, it's like laughable. I just truly don't get it. I truly don't get the divide."

Norman added:

"The division is still there when we are actually showing how we do work within the ecosystem and how the ecosystem is accepting us and how the people are speaking out there. I just don't understand why it is this way. It tells you there is some deep seeded something there, but we are going to keep ploughing through it and stay true to ourselves."

Rahm himself responded to the Golf Digest article during a rain delay in the first round of LIV Golf Greenbrier on Friday.

Per Pro Golf Critic on X / Twitter, Rahm laughed off Golf Digest's claim and said the publication loves to "just make sh*t up".

Rahm is understood to have said:

"Yeah that's why I can't stop smiling out here.

"They just make sh*t up.

"Couldn't be further from the truth."

Pro Golf Critic tweeted: "Complete garbage from Jaime Diaz and Golf Digest."

He added: "So Jaime and Golf Digest talk to 'anonymous sources'. Well, we just talked to the ACTUAL source (who actually has integrity), so I like my sources better. Lmao."
