Former European Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts had the most understated reaction to making an albatross at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Former European Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts had the most understated reaction to making a rare albatross during the third round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The big Belgian was already leading the tournament by one shot from England's Tyrrell Hatton when he achieved the feat.
Colsaert's incredible moment arrived at Kingsbarns' par-5 16th.

With just an iron in his hand, he launched a towering iron shot into orbit that just about carried the bunker at the front of the green.
From there, his golf ball gathered pace and caught the ridge behind the pin, then trickled back down the hill at perfect pace into the centre of the cup.
Perhaps the only thing better than the shot was the commentary.
The announcer cracked up after bellowing: "CAN YOU ADAM AND EVE IT?!"
Colsaerts had no idea the ball had dropped.
In fact, his playing partner, South Africa's Branden Stone, was the one to inform him of what he had just achieved.
Cue high fives all around.

Colsaerts took his score to 20-under par.
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is one of the more popular events on the DP World Tour schedule.
Professionals play against each other for the top prize of $850,000.
But they also compete in teams alongside a family member or celebrity.
Rory McIlroy is playing the tournament alongside his father Gerry.
The McIlroys got to play St Andrews' Old Course on Gerry's 65th birthday.
Who is Nicolas Colsaerts?
Colsaerts, 41, has won three times on the DP World Tour.
He was selected as one of Jose Maria Olazabal's wildcards for the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah.
And he was one of Luke Donald's vice captain's last September.
He rallied the crowd on the first morning:
Colsaerts also battled a major health scare in 2021.
He was diagnosed with a rare kidney disorder which restricted him to just nine appearances in 2022.
The Belgian claimed that when he was admitted to hospital in Dubai he thought he was going to die.
He previously said of that time in his life: "I went through dark times in the days and weeks immediately after my diagnosis.
"I vividly remember looking out of a hospital window in the Dubai desert, thinking, 'Is this where I am going to die?'
"That's an example of how lost I was at the time and how irrational my thoughts were."
Now he is fully recovered.
