Golf fans slam tournament sponsor for 'lame' hole-in-one gift: "This is so cheap"
The tournament sponsor of the Andalucia Masters came under heavy fire from golf fans after they gifted this Tour pro his body weight in beer for making an ace.
Golf fans were quick to crack jokes after DP World Tour pro Ugo Coussaud received a slightly unusual gift for making a hole-in-one at the Andalucia Masters.
Coussaud, 32, hit the ace in round one of the tournament on Thursday at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
The Frenchman recorded a ho-hum round of 2-under 70 but he'll likely never forget what happened at the par-3 8th hole.

Unfortunately, there is no footage of the ace, but tracking suggests he binned his tee shot from 177 yards.
What we do have proof of, though, is what the tournament sponsor Estrella Damm gifted the golfer when he got back to the clubhouse.
His prize?
A new car? A shiny new watch?
Nope.
His body weight in beer.
Yeah, that's right, Coussaud was given 10x24 packs of Estrella Damm.
Just look at his little face:
Some X users took dim view of the prize, with some labelling it as 'cheap'.
Here's some reaction:
"Estrella pulling out all the stops here. It will make those car and watch manufacturers stand up and think about next year's hole-in-one prize!"
"Ooft, I hope Estrella had hole-in-one insurance! There could be layoffs at the bottling plant."
"This is the cheapest hole-in-one prize I've ever seen in my life. It must be $200 worth of beer. Usually you get a nice car worth $60-120k."
"This must be truly devastating. Watching other hole-in-ones you get a Rolex or a fancy car."
"Hole-in-one prizes have dropped off a cliff."
What do you make of his prize?
