Seamus Power wins Bermuda Championship as Ben Griffin endures HORROR finish
Ireland's Seamus Power captures his second career PGA Tour title after rookie Ben Griffin threw it all away on the back nine.
Ireland's Seamus Power landed his second career PGA Tour title with a one-shot victory at the Bermuda Championship, but he had playing partner and rookie Ben Griffin largely to thank.
Power and Griffin took a two-shot lead over the chasing pack heading into the final day, but it was Griffin who stole an early march when moving two shots clear after 11 holes.
But then the wheels seriously came off for the American rookie as he reeled off four straight bogeys followed by a disastrous double-bogey five on the par-3 16th to hand Power a clear advantage on the last two holes.

Power himself bogeyed 13, birdied 14 and bogeyed 15 and 16 but he still found himself two shots clear going up the last after making a birdie on the par-5 17th.
Belgium's Thomas Detry holed an outrageous bunker shot on the par-4 18th to set the clubhouse target of 18-under par.
But Power was afforded the luxury of taking two putts from five feet for bogey on the last for a round of 1-under 70 and a one-shot victory on 19-under par.

Griffin holed an eight-footer for par on the 18th for a round of 1-over 72 to finish tied third with Patrick Rodgers and Kevin Yu.
Nevertheless, despite the horror finish for Griffin it does at least mark his best finish in his first four starts of his rookie PGA Tour season and he qualifies to play next week at Mayakoba in Mexico.
For Power, it marks a second career PGA Tour title adding to his 2021 Barbasol Championship victory, and he vaults into fifth place in the FedEx Cup standings.
"The course is always a tale of two sides," said Power.
"I knew it was going to be really hard, I made hard work of it but delighted to get it done.
"It's a completely different feeling than the first win but it's amazing, it's special, and it's going to take a while to sink in."

A deflated Griffin, who walked away from the game to take up a job as a mortgage officer in 2021 only to return again at the end of last year, said: "It was a very fun week. To finish the way I did, it's tough, coming down stretch was tough.
"I was in an office a year or two ago. It was a bummer. I thought I executed a few good shots down the stretch, but I've got to be better with my misses. I've put in some good work and very optimistic about my future out here, and I know my time will come very soon."
