Lucas Glover bounces ball off POLICE CART down 18 en route to fifth PGA Tour win
Lucas Glover captures fifth PGA Tour title at Wyndham Championship.
Lucas Glover received a friendly bounce off a police cart down the par-4 18th en route to landing a fifth career PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship.
Glover, 43, was afforded the luxury of making a bogey down the 72nd hole if he wanted to after Russell Henley, who had shared the lead for much of the back nine, closed with three consecutive bogeys from the 16th.
The 2009 US Open champion went on to make a par down 18 for a 2-under 68 and two-stroke victory on 20-under par.
Henley (69) and Ben An (67) finished in a tie for second.
Billy Horschel slumped to a 72 to finish four strokes off the pace on 16-under par, and with it end his hopes of making the Playoffs.

Standing on the 18th tee, Glover held a one-stroke lead while Henley was heading up to the green in front of him.
Glover sent his tee shot way left but his ball bounded straight off the back of a cop's cart that was travelling down the left flank in the trees and the ball incredibly bounced back into the rough.
After soon learning Henley had made bogey up on the green, Glover decided to lay up short of the green with a wedge.
Needing just a bogey to seal the deal, Glover finished in style by sending in a 100-yard wedge shot to within seven feet and he drained the putt for par.
The win marks Glover's first since the 2021 John Deere Classic.
An emotional Glover was greeted onto the 18th green by his two children, who were equally as emotional especially his young daughter.
"Say hello to Mum," Glover told his kids as he was approached for comment by Amanda Balionis.
"I don't get to see these guys as much as I've wanted to because I've not been playing that great so maybe I can see more practices and more games and be home a little more. I'm too old to be on the road this much, I've been busting so I can be with them, be with my wife, I'm so happy."
Glover now moves from 112th in the FedEx Cup standings down to 49th, which qualifies him for the start of the Playoffs next week at the FedEx St Jude Championship.
The top 70 in the standings make it in to next week, but it was bad news for Justin Thomas who agonisingly missed out by one place in 71st.
Adam Scott and Shane Lowry also missed out at 72nd and 78th in the standings.
JT was also involved in a three-minute argument with a rules official.
Although it was shorter than the one he was involved in alongisde Adam Scott earlier in the week.
That took more than 10 minutes!
One PGA Tour commentator labelled the actions of JT and Scott that day as "incredibly selfish".
Thomas finished the week on 11-under par in a tie for 12th.
