Watch: College golfer makes outrageous albatross with his putter
Some shots need to be seen to be believed, and that's certainly the case for this ridiculous Albatross, made by a college golfer in Texas.
A college golfer in Texas recently accomplished something that not even Tiger Woods has managed in his record-breaking career.
The achievement in question is an Albatross, which equates to scoring three-under-par on a hole.
The Albatross is the rarest score in golf, achieved by only a small number of golfers on the PGA Tour.
The odds of making one are roughly six million to one, which means you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning.
The college golfer in question is Braxton Floyd, a senior on the Lubbock Christian University men's golf team.
Playing at Reese Golf Club in Texas, Floyd managed to find the green on the 510-yard par five 18th hole thanks to some particularly windy conditions, which left him with a makeable putt for the elusive big bird.
With the cameras rolling and a crowd of curious onlookers surrounding him, Floyd rolled in the putt, and chaos ensued.
While scoring an albatross is remarkable in its own right, doing it with a putter is basically unheard of.
Typically, a player will have to hit a miraculous approach from distance in order to accomplish the mythical score.
The last Albatross recorded on the PGA Tour was courtesy of Shane Lowry, who carded a two on the par-5 6th hole of the Torrey Pines South Course at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open.
In doing so, Lowry became only the 138th player on the PGA Tour to make the score since 1983.
Scroll down to watch the miraculous putt.
