Nike launches its heavyweight
TZ Blue chip T100 is weighted in the head to rival the other pendulum heavyweights on Tour
Nike’s new eye-catching putter – The TZ BlueChip T100 - is destined to rival the Odyssey 2-ball, Bettinardi Big Ben, Scotty Cameron Futura and TaylorMade Rossa Monza as the hottest blade on Tour.
And it could soon become a regular fixture in the bags of club golfers around the world.
This ‘magic mallet’ has a 100 gram Tungsten plug in the back of the clubhead, accounting for 30-per-cent of its weight and helping the natural pendulum stroke that has become so popular.
Nike says this rear weighting ‘reduces skidding and allows a truer roll on putts of all lengths.’ It’s face-balanced, and parallel and perpendicular site lines. It has a C-Thru ‘soft and tacky’ grip from Golf Pride and a double bend stepless steel shaft.
It will be available from October in lengths of 33-35 inches for right-handed players and 34-35 inches for left-handers. A mid-length version with a slightly heavier plug will be available in right-handed only in lengths of 41-45 inches. Cost will be £119.
